Max really couldn't be any cuter if he tried. He is an adorable 8-week old Collie boy who is just as bouncy, goofy and fun as you'd expect a Collie puppy to be. Max will not be ready for his adoptive home for at least another 4 weeks, when he will be at least 12 weeks old.
Max is excellent with other dogs as long as they're patient - he IS a young puppy and will bounce and jump and bug them pretty much until they run for cover if allowed. He, however, thinks it's F-U-N!!
Max, at 8-weeks old, has a pretty high herding instinct! He's very much an ankle-biter and will herd the resident kids around if they run around outside. Someone with herding dog experience is needed for this little boy. Just because he is cute as a bug doesn't mean he's not a herding dog and comes with all that entails!
If you are interested in adoption Max you must be willing to attend formal obedience classes with him. This is a great way to bond with any new dog, no matter the age, but also is a great way to improve any puppy's social skills. Attending classes with Max is non-negotialble and classes will need to be arranged prior to any adoption being finalized.
